St. Nikolay Cathedral

Church of Saint Nikolay the Wonderworker in Novosibirsk is situated on Krasny Prospekt, 17a. The building was constructed in the style of Novgorod architecture from the XI to XIV centuries according to architect A.D. Kryachkov's project. Construction was supervised by contractor I.S. Durov under the guidance of city architect F.F. Ramman. Funds were collected through subscription. The church has a vertical composition with a cylindrical dome and a helmet-shaped dome. It was laid in honor of the 300th anniversary of the reign of the Romanov dynasty and opened in October 1915.
