Botanical Garden of Siberian Branch of Russian Academy of Sciences

Novosibirsk Branch of Siberian Branch of RAS Botanical Garden boasts an extensive collection of around six thousand plant species adapted to harsh Siberian conditions. Special attention is given to the bonsai park, which began taking shape in May 1996. Plant materials were gathered not only from local surroundings but also from remote regions of Russia such as Tuva, Khakasia and Altai Territory. Open to visitors, it offers online access to its collections. Established in 1946, it serves as a center for studying and preserving regional flora.
