Znamensky Cathedral

Znamensky Cathedral named after the icon "Znamenie" is located on Meretskova-Volosova Street in Veliky Novgorod. Built in the late 17th century, the church is part of Novgorod Museum-Preserve and included in UNESCO's World Heritage List. Inside there are paintings from the 18th century, while its western wall depicts the scene of Judgment Day. The structure was commissioned by Metropolitan Cornelius.
