Church of the Dormition of the Theotokos on Volotovo Field

The Church of the Dormition of the Virgin on Volotovo Field in Veliky Novgorod was built in 1352 and is an architectural monument of the 14th century. The temple has dimensions of about 9 by 9.7 meters, a square plan layout and a four-column structure. After restoration carried out from 2001 to 2003, the church was restored to its original forms of the era it was created in. Inside the temple there are fragments of ancient painted frescoes preserved, extracted and installed by restorers from scattered parts.
