Spas-Preobrazhenie Church on Iliny Street

Stone Church of the Transfiguration of Jesus Christ built in 1374 is situated at Ilina Street, 26a in Veliky Novgorod. In 1378 it was painted by famous artist Feofan Grek. It was included in UNESCO's World Heritage List in 1992. This is an architectural monument and monumental painting from the XIV century constructed on the site of the former wooden church. After World War II the temple was restored to its original form. Has one apse.
