Paraskeva Pyatnitsa Church on Torg

The Church of Paraskeva Pyatnitsa on Yaroslavo's Courtyard in Novgorod was built in 1207. It is situated within the historical ensemble of the city and is part of UNESCO's world heritage. The temple is dedicated to Saint Paraskeva Pyatnitsa who was venerated by Novgorod merchants as a patroness. During restoration works in the 1960s ancient architectural forms of the building were revealed. The church underwent multiple reconstructions, especially its upper parts. Construction took place with donations from foreign traders.
