Feodor Stratilat Church on the Stream

The Church of Fedor Stratelat on the Stream in Veliky Novgorod was built in 1360-1361. It is a single-domed structure with one apse and characteristic three-lobe facade finish. The church is included in UNESCO's world heritage list. The painting of the church was completed no later than 1378 with participation of Byzantine masters. Among the scenes depicted are the scene of the Feast of the Mother of God and images of saints soldier Fedir Tyron and Fedir Stratelat. The architecture combines Novgorod traditions with elements of northern gothic style.
