Andrey Stratilat Church

The Church of Andrew Stratilat is situated in the southern part of Novgorod's Kremlin. It arose after the destruction of Borisoglebsky Cathedral in 1441 and became an independent church. Inside there are preserved paintings from the 16th to 17th centuries. The building suffered heavily during World War II. Originally, the temple was the southern annex of Borisoglebsky Cathedral built between 1167 and 1173.
