Monument "Millennium of Russia"

In Veliky Novgorod, on the territory of the Kremlin, stands the monument "Millennium of Russia". Its height includes figures measuring 3.3 meters each. The sculptor was M.O. Mikeshin with participation from I.N. Shreder. The solemn opening took place on September 8, 1862, after restoration - November 2, 1944. The composition features 129 figures, installed on a granite pedestal with a diameter of 9 meters. Bronze casting weighs 65.5 tons, with architect V.A. Gartman designing the monument.
