Moscow Planetarium

Moscow Planetarium, opened in 1929, is the oldest in Russia and among the largest in the world. Located on Sadovaya-Kudrinskaya Street in Moscow, it originally housed a ticket office and cloakroom under its dome but later became a center for scientific research and entertainment. In 1994, entrepreneur Igor Mikitasov attempted to transform the planetarium into a science-recreation center with support from city authorities and the planetarium staff.
