Clean Ponds
Moscow, Chistye Prudy
Clean Ponds - a small pond with an area of 0.012 km² in the center of Moscow. Known for the fact that once Prince Yuri Dolgoruky stopped here. The name "Clean" was given to the ponds after their cleaning in 1703 under Alexander Menshikov's decree. Scenes from the film "Pokrovsky Gates" were shot here. In the 1980s, there was published a literary almanac with such a title. The current pond emerged in the 1820s instead of the old moat of White City.
