Spaso-Vifansky Monastery

Spaso-Vifansky male monastery is located in Sergiyev Posad on Maslieva street, 25. Founded in 1783 by Metropolitan Platon (Levshin), it originally served as a country residence and cemetery of Trinity-Sergius Lavra. After being closed in 1925 and transferred to a children's home, the monastery began to revive since 1998. Today, historical buildings are undergoing reconstruction, including the gate bell tower destroyed in the 1930s. The monastery is part of Trinity-Sergius Lavra convent precinct and open for tourists' visits.
