Sergiev Posad Martyrs Memorial Cross

Memorial cross dedicated to new martyrs in Sergiyev Posad was installed in the historical part of the city in 2012. It honors the memory of deceased priests and parishioners who suffered during religious persecutions. Barbed wire in the composition symbolizes believers' sufferings. The base of the cross is decorated with Solovetsky stone, recalling the destroyed churches of the city.
