Troitse-Sergievskaya Lavra Fortress Walls

The fortress walls of Troitse-Sergiyev Monastery encircle its historical area. These defenses withstood an assault by Polish-Lithuanian troops from 1608 to 1610 and were subsequently reconstructed in the 1640s-1650s. The walls include towers of various construction times and purposes. They form an important part of the monastery's protected ensemble.
