Kelarsky Pond

Kelarsky Pond is situated in the historical center of Sergiyev Posad and is an important part of the landscape near Ilyinskaya Church. It has a rich history linked to the economic needs of Troitse-Sergiev Monastery. Today, around the pond there is a walking area attracting residents and tourists. The name of the water body originates from the position of kellarius - responsible for the monastery's affairs.
