Kalicha Tower Trinity-Sergius Lavra

Kalicha Tower is situated in the northern wall of St.Troica Sergiev Monastery. Built between 1759 and 1778, it reaches about forty meters in height. The tower's name derives from the term "kalychi", which denoted pilgrims. This structure is part of the monastery's later fortifications.
