Historical and Architectural Complex Horse Courtyard

Historical and architectural complex "Konyotniy Dvor" in Sergiyev Posad - unique monument of economic purpose from 18th to early 20th centuries. It represents a closed quadrangle with an inner yard, round corner towers and three entrance gates, reminiscent of a medieval castle. The complex previously served as the economic yard of Troitse-Sergievskaya Lavra and today includes the Museum of Russian Matryoshka. It is part of the architectural ensemble of the Lavra and included in the list of UNESCO World Heritage Sites.
