Petrov Estate
Kolomna, Lazhechnikova Street, 18
The Petrov estate in Kolomna, built in the third quarter of the 19th century for merchant-tanners, is a complex consisting of the main house, two wings, and outbuildings around the perimeter of a cobblestone courtyard. The main brick house with white stone decoration in a transitional style from classicism to eclecticism stands on a high vaulted semi-basement and is adorned with large platbands with segmental pediments on brackets, reflecting the influence of the Italian Renaissance. Currently, the building houses the district consumer union office and a cafe, while the territory features exhibits related to the history of the estate and art objects. In 2024, a museum was opened in the former salt barn of the estate.
