Levshina Street

Kolomna, Levshina Street

Levshina Street is located in the historic part of Kolomna near the Pogorelaya (Alekseevskaya) Tower of the Kolomna Kremlin. It received its current name in 1921 in honor of the revolutionary Vasily Levshin, who ensured a bloodless victory of Soviet power in the city. Before that, the street was called Alekseevskaya after the nearby Church of St. Alexius, Man of God, and Malaya Ryazanskaya Street, Malaya Savicha Street, and Levshin Lane adjoin it on the right. Two-way traffic is organized on the street, except for the section from Yan Grunt Street to Zaytsev Street, where it is one-way.
