Krasnogvardeyskaya Street

Kolomna, Krasnogvardeyskaya Street

Krasnogvardeyskaya Street is located in the central part of Kolomna and was previously called Kolomenskaya or Voznesenskaya. It features a 19th-century city estate, recognized as a regional architectural heritage site, and the cultural center "Dom Ozerova" at house number 2. In Zaitsev Square, at the intersection with Zaitsev and Yan Grunt Streets, there is a monument to the weapons designer Boris Shavyrin, and next to the Ascension Church stands a log house of the donor Ivan Butkin. Before the revolution, the street only extended to the current Kozlova Street, beyond which began a sanitary zone in front of the cemetery.
