Church of the Nativity of Christ

Kolomna, Posadskiy Ln, 4

The Church of the Nativity of Christ in the Kolomna Posad was built in 1725 with two side chapels, a refectory, and a bell tower. The current building combines classical style with earlier Baroque elements, and in 1870 an extensive warm refectory in the form of a spacious hall appeared between the bell tower and the church. In 1997, a restoration began, during which the altars of the refectory were restored, new iconostases were installed, and the dome was rebuilt. The church has three altars: the main one is consecrated in honor of the Nativity of Christ, while the northern altar of the Annunciation and the southern altar of the Kazan Icon of the Mother of God are located in the refectory.
