Church of the Protection of the Most Holy Theotokos

The Church of the Intercession of the Virgin in Kolomna is a pillarless church in the style of mature Classicism, erected on the foundation of a building from the late 17th century in memory of the intercession of the Mother of God in 1812. Its facades are painted blue, and the white decoration resembles lace. A two-chapel refectory adjoins the church, covered by a system of cross vaults, and the chapels are dedicated to the Smolensk Icon of the Mother of God and Saint Gregory the Theologian. A Sunday school and a children's Orthodox summer camp operate at the church.
