Church of the Intercession of the Most Holy Theotokos of the New Golutvin Monastery
Kolomna, Lazareva Street, 11
The Church of the Intercession of the Most Holy Theotokos of the Novo-Golutvin Monastery in Kolomna was built in the 1680s as a house church for the Bishop's Palace, representing a two-domed quadrangle with a southern side chapel. In 1782, it was abolished, and a consistory chamber was placed inside, while the decoration was transferred to the Church of St. Simeon Stylites. After the abolition of the Kolomna Eparchy in 1799, the church was reconsecrated as St. Sergius Church, and in 1823, a new brick church in the pseudo-Gothic style was erected in its place. The Great Consecration of the chapel of St. Sergius of Radonezh in this church took place on September 1, 2010, and the building is a recognized cultural heritage site of Russia.
