Znamensky Cathedral

The Znamensky Cathedral is situated in the historical center of Kursk at Lunacharsky Street, 4. It is closely associated with the Kursk Koroteny Icon of the Mother of God "Sign" and plays an important role in the city's spiritual life. The construction of the church commenced in the first half of the XIX century and today it continues to be one of Kursk's principal Orthodox sanctuaries, serving as its architectural focal point.
