Знаменский кафедральный собор

The Знаменский cathedral is located in the historical center of Kursk on Lunacharsky Street, 4. It is closely linked to the Kursk Koroten Icon of the Mother of God "Znamenie" and plays an important role in the spiritual life of the city. Construction of the temple began in the first half of the XIX century and today it remains one of the main Orthodox shrines of Kursk, being its architectural dominant.
