Founders Monument of Novorossiysk

The monument to the founders of Novorossiysk is located on Admiral Seryobkin's Embankment in Novorossiysk city. It honors admirals Mikhail Lazarev and Lazарь Seryobkin as well as general Nikolay Raevsky who played a key role in establishing the city and developing Novorossiysk port. The monument was opened on June 12, 2007, on Russia Day. The monument symbolizes the connection between modern embankment and the city's historical past.
