Hristov's Resurrection Cathedral on Debre

The Church of Christ's Resurrection on Debra is located in Kostroma on Nizhnyaya Debra Street near the Volga River. The temple was built by 1645 and for a long time it was the cathedral church of the Kostroma eparchy (1964-1991). Here previously there was kept the venerated Feodorskaya icon of the Mother of God, now located in the Bogoyavlensko-Anastasiein monastery. Nearby the church operates the Znamensky women's monastery founded in 1993 by decision of the Holy Synod of the Russian Orthodox Church. Currently, the temple is a parish church.
