Yuri Dolgorukiy Monument

Yuri Dolgoruky Monument in Kostroma stands on Sovetskaya Square and was unveiled on August 29, 2003 to commemorate the city's 850th anniversary. The sculpture's author is Vadim Mikhailovich Tserkovnikov, architect - Gennady Leonidovich Morozov, and artistic solution developed by Sergey Ivanovich Kadyberdeev. The monument weighs over four tons; it contains a capsule with soil from Kiev Pechersk Lavra.
