Ivan Susanin Monument

The monument to Ivan Susanin is situated on Susanin Square in Kostroma. It was installed in 1967 at the site of the previous monument destroyed in 1918. The project author is sculptor Nikita Lavinsky. The monument faces the Volga River and Molochnaya Gora Street. Its sculpture before installation was located in Ipatiev Monastery.
