Bogoyavlensky-Anastasiyin Cathedral

Cathedral Church in Kostroma located on Bogoyavlenskaya street. Built in stone from 1559 to 1565 by masters from Rostov instead of previous wooden church. In 1864-1869 they added new brick church in pseudo-Russian style. Cathedral became cathedral after returning its diocese in 1991 and it keeps miraculous Feodorovskaya icon of Mother of God transferred there August 18th of the same year. Dedication of restored cathedral took place August 17th, 1991.
