Metallurgov Avenue
Novokuznetsk, Metallurgov Avenue, from Privokzalnaya Square
Metallurgov Avenue in Novokuznetsk starts from the Railway Station Square and is known for the fact that in 1933 the first tram line in Siberia was laid here, connecting the station with the Kuznetsk Metallurgical Plant (KMK). In 1935, the avenue was named Molotovsky in honor of Vyacheslav Molotov, and during those years Manchurian walnut trees were planted on it, which still surprise local residents with their harvest. The avenue has bus and trolleybus service, and in 2019 the excursion route "Forward to the Past!" was opened, connecting its main attractions.
