Zapsibovsky (Dozovsky) Bridge

Novokuznetsk, Zapsibovsky Bridge

The Zapsibovsky (Dozovsky) Bridge is a combined road-rail crossing over the Tom River in Novokuznetsk. Opened on January 8, 1963, it has a length of 486 meters and is designed for 100 years of operation. During the design phase, engineers Yuri Bogush and Anatoly Kobenko were the first in the USSR to apply a multi-span continuous system with preliminary metal stress, although through seams temporarily remained in the structure after the beams were installed. During repairs in May 2024, it was discovered that the number of removed roadway layers exceeded the design values by 10 cm due to the use of various materials in the 1960s that are not permissible under current standards.
