Bardina Avenue

Novokuznetsk, Bardina Ave

Bardina Avenue in Novokuznetsk was named after Academician Ivan Pavlovich Bardin in 1960. In the square at the intersection with Kirov Street, there is a monument called "Black Tulip" dedicated to those who died in local wars, as well as a monument to the miner Egor Drozdetsky, the only resident of Novokuznetsk with a monument erected during his lifetime. Near house number 36, there is a sculptural composition called "Friendship Sausage" featuring bronze kittens and puppies. Memorial plaques for Gennady Kurbatov and Gennady Yegorovich Yegorov have been installed on the buildings of the First City Hospital and the Medical and Physical Culture Dispensary. The Household Services Building at 42 Bardina Avenue is the largest facility for household services in Siberia, with an area of over 16,000 square meters, where more than one and a half thousand people worked at the time of its opening.
