Zelenogradsk Promenade
Zelenogradsk, Promenade
The Zelenogradsk promenade, which is 1.1 km long, was reconstructed under a federal target program starting in 2009 and was opened to residents on July 24, 2013, without a formal ceremony. By April 2026, 1,070 plants recreating the flora of the Curonian Spit, including mountain pines, juniper, and grasses, were planted on the promenade's "foredunes." The Strandhotel (Beach Hotel) in the Northern Art Nouveau style is located on the embankment, and during the summer months, daily concerts by a local chapel were held near the "Monopol" hotel. From the "Eye of the Baltic" Ferris wheel, located on the promenade, there is a view of the Baltic Sea waters, the Curonian Spit, and the historic part of the city.
