Lenin Street
Zelenogradsk, Lenina St
Lenin Street in Zelenogradsk is 1.1 km long and is named after Lenin. It features a two-story building, No. 12, from the late 19th or early 20th century with attics and balconies under a tiled roof, which houses a memorial plaque for Friedrich Kurschat, who edited the Lithuanian New Testament and published folk songs. Nearby, in the former railway hotel building constructed around 1885 (house No. 10), a hotel and restaurant named "Volna" were located after the war, and since the 1990s, a shop of the same name has been opened on the ground floor. Around the sculpture "Running on the Waves," a mosaic panel made of smalt has been completed, and after the renovation of house No. 12, the space will acquire a finished appearance.
