East Prussia Hotel Building

Zelenogradsk, Pogranichnaya St, 1

The building of the "East Prussia" hotel was constructed in 1906 in Zelenogradsk (formerly Cranz) on Konigsberger Strasse in the Art Nouveau style. Its facade is adorned with a mascaron in the form of a fisherman's head, wrought-iron balconies with flower stands, a plant-themed stucco pattern, and half-timbering in the upper part, while the first floor is faced to imitate rusticated stone. After the fire of 1915, the restored building received the name "East Prussia", and in April-July 1945 it housed a military hospital for participants of the Samland operation. This object is a cultural heritage monument and is listed in the corresponding register.
