Kranz School Building (Vector Gymnasium)

Zelenogradsk, Turgeneva St, 5b

The building of the former Kranz School in Zelenogradsk, which today houses the "Vektor" gymnasium, has been recognized as a cultural heritage site of local significance. The entrance for students was located on the courtyard side, while the entrance for teachers was on the eastern side, and the school year began immediately after the Easter holidays. The gymnasium was equipped with gymnastic ladders, Swedish walls, balance beams, ropes, rope ladders, and trapezes, while the equipment was stored in an annex in the courtyard. Landscapes of East Prussia were painted in sepia above the classroom doors, mosaic paintings were laid on the corridor floors, and drinking fountains stood on the floors.
