Pleskaya Fortress Hill

Fortress Hill in Plyos is located near Cathedral Hill and is an historical monument of early defensive period of the city. Its high bank of the Volga served as an important observation point and fortification for protecting the settlement. From the top there is a picturesque view of the river and old buildings of Plyos, emphasizing its significance as a strategic point on the Volga waterway.
