Museum of the First Council

The First Soviet Museum is located in the historical building of the former town hall at Sovetskaya Street, 27 in Ivanovo city. It was opened on November 4, 1967. It was here that the meetings of the first city-wide council of workers' deputies took place in May 1905, an important stage in Russian history. The building, built in 1904 in the eclectic style, is a federal cultural heritage site and part of the D.G. Burylin Museum complex.
