Bukhnaksky Street

Bouynaksk Street in Makhachkala - one of the oldest streets in the city, previously known as Bariyatinskaya after Caucasus Governor Alexander Bariyatinsky. In 1920 it was renamed to honor revolutionary Ullubiy Bouynakski. There is a house #24 with a memorial plaque commemorating Vladimir Gavrilenko who lived there early in the 20th century. The street connects Maxima Gorky Street and Mirzabekov Street, forming an important part of the city's historical center.
