National Museum of Republic of Dagestan named after A. Taho-Godi

The National Museum of the Republic of Dagestan named after A. Taho-Godi is located in Makhachkala at Danilova Street, 31. Established with funds bequeathed by doctor and kraeved Ivan Kostemersky. Today it is the largest museum in the region showcasing the history of the peoples of Dagestan, the Caucasian War, and traditional culture. In 2013 it moved to a building from the 19th century known as the House with Atlantes.
