Museum of City History Makhachkala

The Museum of Dagestan Republic History in Makhachkala is situated in Ak-Gel Park, within the memorial complex "To the Russian Teacher". It introduces visitors to the development of Makhachkala from Pyotrovsk through its modern stage. Exhibits include cityscapes, architectural monuments, life of residents and significant historical events. The museum houses over two hundred paintings depicting Makhachkala.
