Rasul Gamzatov Literary Museum

The Rasul Gamzatov Literary Museum is housed in the historical building of the Union of Writers of Dagestan, constructed before 1917. It features an exhibition dedicated to Rasul Gamzatov's works as well as those of his predecessors such as Gamtat Tsadasa, Sulayman Stalsky, Abutalip Gafurov and Effendi Kapiev. The collection includes over three hundred unique photographs of the poet, his manuscripts and books in Avar language and translations. Among the exhibits are photos with famous personalities like Fidel Castro, Ernesto Che Guevara and Indira Gandhi. Altogether, there are more than two thousand one hundred items in the museum's fund.
