House with Atlas Statues

The building with atlantes is situated at Daniilova Street, 31 in Makhachkala. This historical structure associated with pre-revolutionary architecture of Pyotrovsk-Port is known for its decorative sculptures of atlantes supporting the balcony. Today it houses the National Museum of the Republic of Dagestan named after A. Taho-Godi. The building allows to peek into a rare preserved layer of old Makhachkala and is considered one of the most recognizable architectural monuments of the city.
