Dagestan State Opera and Ballet Theatre

Dagestan State Opera and Ballet Theatre is situated in Makhachkala on Rasul Gamzatov Avenue, 38. Founded in 1999 upon initiative of Dagestan Culture Minister Naida Abdulgamidova, it offers operas, operettas, ballets and concert programs. Among its productions are operetta "Arshin Mal Al'an" by Uzeyir Hajibekov and ballet "Enigma" to music by French composers. In 2016, the theatre was joined by the republic's symphony orchestra and choir.
