Dagestan State Philharmonic named after T. Muradov

Dagestan State Philharmonic named after T. Muradov is situated in Makhachkala on Maxim Gorky Street, 1A. Established in 1944, it bears the name of renowned Dagestani singer and composer Tatam Muradov. Since 2004 due to structural issues, the main building has been used infrequently; concerts typically take place on an outdoor stage with a stage area of 320 sq. m. Since 2000, an annual regional festival for young performers "Our Hopes" has been held, while since 2008 there is also an international festival called "Port-Pyotrovsky Assemblies."
