Friendship Avenue

Peace Avenue in Makhachkala is situated in Fazu Alieva Square. A monument to the folk poetess of Dagestan was installed here; its solemn opening took place on December 11, 2017. A competition for the monument's project was held in the same year. The avenue is part of the city's route including squares and monuments and has become a popular spot for walks and relaxation for residents of the city center. Its name reflects the multiethnic character of the region.
