Russian Drama Theatre

Russian Drama Theatre in Cheboksary founded on December 14th, 1922 is one of the oldest theatrical groups in the city. The theatre's building is situated at Gagarin Street, 14 and previously served as a branch of the Philharmonic built in 1959. The theatre ensemble holds the title of state institution of Chuvash Republic and has been awarded Order "Badge of Honour". The first performance of its first season was the play "Vasilya Melentyeva".
