Russian Drama Theatre

Russian Drama Theatre in Cheboksary located at Gagarin Street, 14 is one of the oldest theaters in the city founded in December 1922. The first performance was a play titled "Vasilisa Melentyeva". The theater building previously belonged to the Philharmonic Society built in 1959. The theatre actively participates in the city's cultural routes helping to acquaint with the history and traditions of Cheboksary.
