Republic Square

Republic Square is the main parade square of Cheboksary, situated in the city center near Karl Marx Street. Previously it bore the name Lenin. There stands a monument to Vladimir Il'ich Lenin, unveiled in 1960, serving as an ideological-artistic focal point of the square. Layout features alleys, lawns, flowerbeds and green plantations. Since 1996, the square has carried its current name.
