Cheboksary 500th Anniversary Culture and Rest Park

Cultural and recreation park named after 500th anniversary of Cheboksary city stretches over an area of 87 hectares at the foot of a hill on the Volga riverbank. It was opened in 1978 to celebrate the city's jubilee. The park includes zones for children, sports, cultural events and ethnic complex "Amazonia". The idea of its creation arose as early as 1969, while the master plan was approved in 1974.
