Lenin Monument

The monument to V.I. Lenin in Cheboksary is situated on Republic Square. It was opened on June 26, 1960 to commemorate the 40th anniversary of Chuvash Autonomy. It is the first monumental memorial in the region and a locally significant cultural heritage site. The sculpture was created by artists A.I. Danilenka, V.I. Tatarovich and G.D. Yastrebeneckij under the guidance of architect G.A. Izraelevich. The material of the sculpture is bronze.
